Distillery Notes
Mackmyra are a forward thinking distillery. both in pushing the boundries of whisky, but also in climate smart practises. Their Distillery uses gravity to move the whisky throughout the distillery. and standing at 35m tall stands out amongst the surrounding forests. Mackmyra were the first to use Swedish oak in the maturation of whisky which imbues their spirit with a spicy characater due to the oaks lack of natural sugars compared to eurpoean or american oak. The use of Juniper twigs in smoking their whisky presents a unique floral, spicy character to their whisky not found anywhere else.
