    Distillery Notes

Michel Couvreur was a man who had a love for wine and whisky, and in 1990 begain to source single malt spirit from Scotland and maturing it in cellars dug into the chalk hillsides of Bouze-Iès-Beaune in Côte d’Or, Burgundy. Michels loves for sherry casks was what led him to settle half way between the Scottish Highlands and Andalucian vineyards.

Michel Couvreur whiskies follow the french tradition of Terroir, where the place and environment is the most important aspect of a product. So the use of the highest quality scottish spirit is sourced and married with sherry oak casks from Jerez. All aged in the unique microclimates of the handmade cellars.

This creates an intense and flavourful whisky, but at the same time well rounded and balanced.
